At Gatorama, we believe the best way for kids to learn about nature is to get hands-on with it! We have designed a variety of completely safe, engaging, and unforgettable experiences specifically for children and families.

Whether your child is a fearless young explorer or a bit more timid, our trained education team and keepers ensure that every kid builds confidence and has an amazing time playing wild.

Uncle Wader’s Catch-a-Gator Pond	Kids kick off their shoes, roll up their sleeves, and climb into an ankle-deep pool. Our keepers teach them how to safely catch and hold a 2-to-3-foot juvenile alligator.	Perfect for building confidence under expert supervision. Meet “Dozer” the Giant Tortoise	Step inside the tortoise habitat to meet and feed our gentle African Spurred Tortoises. Since they are slow and calm, this is perfect for all kids.	Dozer — Our friendly, slow-moving giant who loves getting head scratches and crunchy treats!	$15.00
Python Encounter at Reptile Cove	Meet and touch a real snake! Kids can gently touch or drape a snake over their shoulders for an incredible photo and bragging rights.	Bleu — Our docile and sweet Ball Python. Kids learn about python habitats and habits in a safe, guided setting.	$15.00
Gator Feeding with “Croc Crunch”	Toss special “Croc Crunch” feed pellets directly to our juvenile gators from the safety of our wooden boardwalks and bridges. Watch them splash and swim to catch their treats!	Fun for all ages! Done completely from behind our secure boardwalk barriers.	Included with park entry (feed cups sold separately)

Po & The Ghosts of the Glades	Say hello to Po, our rare piebald (pied) American Alligator! Kids can get up close to our striking albino, pied, and leucistic alligators in this magical, color-shifting exhibit.
Kira the Croc	Stop by Reptile Cove to meet Kira, our friendly Featured Creature crocodile. She is always ready to show off her celebrity smile for an Instagram-worthy photo!
Sahara & Sparky	Our incredibly cute and energetic pair of big-eared Fennec Foxes. These tiny desert dwellers are full of curiosity and are a favorite for children.
Our Tree-Dwelling Kinkajou	Meet our fascinating kinkajou, a playful tropical resident that spends its time climbing branches.
Goliath & The Big Boys	Stand on the safety of the bridge and look down at Goliath, our massive 15-foot crocodile, along with his giant friends Bully, Jimmy, Spike, and Titan in the front ponds.

Our World-Famous Gator Hatching Festival

Every August (from mid-August through Labor Day), Gatorama hosts our legendary, world-famous Gator Hatching Festival. This is a bucket-list Florida experience that kids talk about for the rest of their lives!

The Main Event	Kids get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hold a real alligator egg in the palm of their hand and watch, feel, and hear a baby alligator chirp and hatch right in their hand!
A Lifetime Memory	Our team guides them through the entire process, and each child receives an official hatching certificate to take home!
Booking Warning	Hatching tickets are highly limited and sell out months in advance, so be sure to secure your booking early in the summer!

To make your family outing to Palmdale as smooth and enjoyable as possible, keep these tips in mind:

Stroller Access	Our main 1,000-foot wooden boardwalk and pathways are fully stroller-accessible, making it easy to navigate with toddlers and infants.
Pack the Camera	There are endless, unique photo opportunities throughout the park, from holding baby gators to standing near giant tortoises.
Stay Hydrated	We are deep in the beautiful Glades region, so we highly recommend bringing sunscreen, hats, and bottled water for the kids!
