When you enter Gatorama, you’ll immediately be greeted by our family of crocodiles and alligators, who call the front ponds home. This is where the “Big Boys” live, and it’s one of our favorite places in the park! The front ponds are always full of activity, from sunbathing reptiles to playful splashes, giving visitors a chance to see these incredible predators in action.
Come check out the whole family, including Bully, Jimmy, Spike, Titan, Palmer, and all of their friends. Gatorama is proud to host the largest colony of American crocodiles in the United States, and with approximately 65 alligators and 17 crocodiles in the front ponds alone, there’s always plenty to watch and admire.
If you haven’t yet experienced one of our keeper training sessions with the Face to Face Alligators, the boardwalk offers the perfect vantage point. From a safe distance, you can observe our expert staff at work, interacting with and caring for the animals while demonstrating the intelligence, strength, and personalities of each alligator and crocodile. Whether it’s a quiet sun-soaked afternoon or a lively feeding session, the front ponds are a must-see stop at Gatorama.
