Welcome to Gatorama, where the legend of Old Florida comes to life along rustic boardwalks winding through real cypress swamps. Your paid general admission is a golden ticket to explore a wild world hidden deep in the Glades, where prehistoric giants rule the waterways and rare, exotic creatures dwell beneath the canopy.<\/span><\/p>

Feel the ancient moss beneath your feet (spiritually, at least!) as you embark on a self-guided eco-adventure. This isn\u2019t a theme park\u2014this is the real, raw heart of the swamp, preserved and teeming with life.<\/span><\/p>

Your journey through the Glades is packed with incredible wildlife viewings included entirely in your park entry. Be sure to explore these legendary habitats:<\/span><\/p>

Marvel at our collection of the rarest crocodilians on earth. This shimmering, color-shifting exhibit is the legendary home of\u00a0<\/span>Po<\/span><\/strong>, our incredibly rare\u00a0<\/span>Piebald (Pied) American Alligator<\/span><\/strong>. Stand face-to-face with breathtaking\u00a0<\/span>albino<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>piebald<\/span><\/strong>, and\u00a0<\/span>leucistic alligators<\/span><\/strong>, whose beautiful, ghostly scales remind us how truly magical and mysterious the natural world can be.<\/span><\/p>

Wander down the boardwalk to our historic, deep-water habitat designed to mirror the natural “alligator holes” found deep within the primitive Everglades. This shaded cypress oasis is home to some of our\u00a0<\/span>massive founding alligators<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0(some arriving in the late 1950s!). It’s the perfect spot to observe these apex predators basking, swimming, and thriving in their authentic, unedited habitat.<\/span><\/p>

Cross the bridge and gaze into the domain of the absolute king of the front ponds. This exhibit is the home of\u00a0<\/span>Goliath<\/span><\/strong>, our legendary, dominant\u00a0<\/span>15-foot American Crocodile<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0who has been a park favorite since 1968. Standing just feet away from one of the largest crocodiles in the United States is a breathtaking reminder of nature\u2019s awesome power.<\/span><\/p>

Get ready for some serious “aww” moments at our\u00a0<\/span>Fennec Family Den<\/span><\/strong>. These incredibly cute, big-eared desert dwellers may be tiny, but they are full of high-energy curiosity.   • Uncle Wader\u2019s Catch-a-Gator Pond:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Kick off your shoes, roll up your sleeves, and climb into an ankle-deep pool of baby gators. Our experienced keepers teach you how to safely catch and hold a juvenile alligator for an unbeatable (and totally safe) photo opportunity!<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Tortoise Encounter:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Step inside the habitat and meet\u00a0<\/span>Dozer<\/span><\/strong>, our massive and extremely friendly African Spurred Tortoise. Get up close, scratch his shell, and help our keepers feed him his favorite veggie treats!<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • The Python Encounter:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Visit Python Cove to meet\u00a0<\/span>Bleu<\/span><\/strong>, our gentle, sweet-tempered Ball Python. Drape him over your shoulders or gently hold him for an incredible photo and serious bragging rights.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul>
