Florida’s Nuisance Alligators, Now Part of Our Pod
Gatorama works closely with Florida Fish and Wildlife through the Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program (SNAP), bringing in alligators that have been reported as nuisance animals to live safely among our pod. These alligators are carefully acclimated to their new surroundings and introduced gradually to ensure they can safely interact with their pod-mates and our guests.
The SNAP program prioritizes public safety while also conserving alligators in areas where they naturally occur. By relocating these animals to Gatorama, we give them a second chance at life in a controlled environment, while helping communities stay safe from potentially dangerous encounters.
